I Don't Think So!"The
Grange, Upper Puckerings premiere historic home." Despite
the recent improvements in the Gazette's standard of reporting, I think that the recent
story on the sale of the Grange was pretty far off the map. Stoney Grove is Puckering's
premiere historic home, main tourist attraction and a world renowned site. The Grange is a
nice enough little place, but it's best to remember that just because you're famous
doesn't make your site the best!

Drunken Vicar a Disgrace
I had the misfortune to be out in the village Saturday
night and was shocked to see clergymen, including, I must add, the Reverend Banks, in a
condition that suggested they were under the influence of alcohol. Whilst we must applaud
the efforts the Reverend was making to support a representative of the Roman Catholic
Church--who could hardly stand-- I thought it was a poor show for the Church of England.
It must also be said that his Sunday sermon was rather
dull.

Vote for My Son!
With the elections for Village Elder just a few short weeks away, it behooves all of us to
consider each of the candidates seriously. Do we want a left-leaning, bunny hugging
woman in charge? Can we seriously respect the opinion of a confirmed communist,
whose biggest contribution to the village is likely to be more loos? And what of a
grown man who runs around naked half the time, especially in England? I say, with
serious consideration, there is only one eligible candidate, one voice that makes sense
for Puckering. On election day, vote for Col. Nigel Bratherton. You'll be
making a stand for England's best.
