While members of the newly formed UPMAD group are keeping
details of further production numbers secret, PAP is putting out a number of suggestions
in an effort to gain new membership. Currently the two-person club is considering
approaching the Valhalla Retirement Home with hopes of attempting to stage Starlight
Express. In spite of some expressed concerns about keeping the cast together over a long
rehearsal period, member Minnie Smalls was optimistic for the chances of a strong
performance. Meanwhile, July also saw the traditional end-of-term performance from
Puckering Primary School. In a bold attempt to stage "My Dinner with Andre,"
the setting was changed from a New York restaurant to the school cafeteria. Since
it is traditional not to criticise these fledgling performers, The Pen will only observe
that, despite the ghastly meals he was served as a child, they could hold nothing to this
performance. |
