Irregulars Aim Higher With another convincing win over Featherstone, it seems the Irregulars are
setting their sights on greater glory. While it is still several months before the season
grudge match against East Imbiben, already the team is getting prepared.
Despite a fluent 20 in this game (all but two coming in boundaries)
Freddy Bolger has come under the most criticism because of his fitness. Unable to bowl
because of a lower back strain, Bolger, whose movement between the wickets has been
likened to a crippled snail, is now undergoing sprint training. He as also on a diet.
Rumours that he drove to Brighton to get a burger remain unsubstantiated.
Against Featherstone it was the lady newcomers Travers and Burns who set
the pace. Rachel generated some real pace in her spell of 5-18 and Burns ended the game 42
n.o as the Irregulars made light work of the Featherstone target of 103.
