Following orders, the Pen is to concentrate on local
affairs,' as if the residents of this village are not part of the world wide entertainment
network. Its a global village now, I told them, but what do they know? Not that they
could even manage to print my risqué article for the last edition on the truth behind a
certain fowl movie. So, my dears, its back to reporting on the little people. It seems that PAP, the Puckering Amateur Players have split, creating a splinter
group, the UPMADS (Upper Puckering Musicals and Drama Society). They are now starting
rehearsals for Les Miserables, a unique (hah!) look at the events of the French
Revolution.
The current cast, ten strong, are looking for some more
people...somewhat urgently. No word yet on what the PAP group will be doing, but since
before the split they had reportedly only twelve members, anything more than a one man
show seems a stretch. Oh well, at least Les Mis seems appropriate. |
