Tensions on Set Reduce Carver to Pieces
Sources close to the scene report that famed director Alan Carver
temporarily resigned from the Taxi project this week, citing
irreconcilable artistic differences between himself and the
feature's producer, Arthur Daily. Those differences apparently
arose as stars began rehearsals for a series of steamy love scenes
that Helena O'Rall, whilst quite daring for her time, could only
suggest. Carver reportedly favoured the more old-fashioned
approach, while Daily gave away his hand by hiring a body-double to
flesh out Toussand's rather wan Loretta. In a closed-door
session, the two men found common ground, and Carver returned to
work. The question for our faithful readers--can he cut the
mustard?
As always, if you want to know, ask your Uncle Bob!
