| Old Mrs. Kent, the "granny" of the Granny Suite, was a great admirer of Queen Victoria, and directed that the room be furnished in the style of the queen's apartment at Balmoral. The bed, sofa and chair, as well as the rug, are all mid-Victorian pieces. The highboy in the corner dates from the 18th century, and is a recent purchase of the current owners. | |
